Yuqian Hu | 胡彧倩

Principal Scientist at Origin Research

Biography

Yuqian received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in July 2017, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2021, advised by Prof K. J. Ray Liu with the Signal and Information Group (SIG).

Since 2022, she has been with Origin Wireless Inc as a Research scientist, where she currently works on AI-driven wireless sensing technologies,

Her research interests span across wireless sensing, signal processing, Internet-of-Things (IoT) systems, and machine learning. She is particularly interested in developing innovative solutions that verify the wireless signal quality and leverage wireless signals for indoor environmental monitoring and human detection. Her work combines advanced signal processing techniques with machine learning algorithms to enable next-generation IoT applications that can sense and understand the physical world through wireless communication signals.
